Sacral Greetings Beloved

This page has been created in an effort to facilitate global and personal womb wellness through herbal healing.

When I began my journey into herbal therapy and the ways in which herbs can be used to provide 'iyashi' or healing, I started by focussing on my lower chakras; specifically my Sacral Chakra.

You see, upon deciding to cleanse my liver of all toxins and balance my root chakra I still couldn't divorce myself from popping pain-killers every month during my lunar cycle. It was causing me much turmoil. Eventually, I began using Yogi Woman's Moon Cycle Tea Blend and experienced a paradigm shift. After about 6 months of consistently imbibing this tea during my time of the month, I was surprised one month when my period miraculously presented itself without the irritation, discomfort and severe cramping I had become accustomed to.

It was as if a light went off in my womb and has been glowing ever since -- ushering me into a new approach to my lunar cycle and my overall relationship with my womb.

This revelation eventually propelled me to start Iyashi Herbs, my own herbal tea business, from a tiny seed and it is what continues to motivate me to share this healing with all womb and sister circles across the globe.

Below I have curated some information that has proved valuable to me on my Womb Wellness journey.

It is my hope that they will also help you to seek and find iyashi as I have.

What is the Sacral Chakra exactly?

The Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana in sanskrit) is the second chakra of 7 main chakras in the body. It is located a little below your belly button or where your sacrum is (hence the name). The Sacral Chakra is associated with the emotional body, sensuality, sexuality and creativity. Its element is water and as such, its energy is characterized by flow and flexibility. The function of the sacral chakra is directed by the principle of pleasure.  It is also associated with abundance and provides the energy to give birth to new ideas, projects and artistic endeavors and is a wonderful energy center for encouraging creativity.

Tea Rituals & your Lunar Cycle

The ritual of preparing and drinking tea is essential to the process of womb wellness and seeking iyashi.

Every month (lunar cycle), as your womb prepares to shed itself and regenerate, provides an ideal time to take a deep breath, relax and centre your mind and Spirit on what matters the most: your health and well-being.

A hot cup of tea is one of the simplest ways to administer herbal healing to your womb and your Sacral Chakra.

Sacral Chakra Herbal Tea Blend

These are the main herbs used in our Sacral Chakra Tea Blend with some information about their specific benefits to your Sacral Chakra, your womb and your reproductive system on a whole.

Red Raspberry Leaf

is well known for its benefits during pregnancy, but it is beneficial to women at all stages of life.
The specific combination of nutrients in Red Raspberry Leaf makes it extremely beneficial for the female reproductive system as it strengthens the uterus and pelvic muscles.

contains isoflavones, plant-based chemicals that produce estrogen-like effects in the body.
Isoflavones have shown potential in the treatment of several conditions associated with menopause, such as hot flashes, cardiovascular health, and osteoporosis.

Cinnamon Leaf & Bark

has potent antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties.
Its antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory properties offer pain relief. You should try to drink cinnamon tea regularly – especially before the start date of your period as
painful menstrual cramps symptoms in the first few days maybe eased by the use of cinnamon.

is considered to be a herb with the most powerful effects on kidneys.
This is why it is used to treat various urinary tract infections as it can remove uric acid from the body.
Amenorrhea, the medical condition where a woman who should be having regular periods is struggling to do so, can be cured by using juniper berries.

Chaste Tree Berries aka
Vitex (agnus castus)

affects many hormones that regulate women's reproductive cycles.
It is taken for menstrual cycle irregularities, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and symptoms of menopause. It is also used for female infertility as well as preventing miscarriage in women with low levels of a hormone called progesterone.

"This is a Sacred Space for Womb Wellness"

The Womb Prayer

"You are a woman.
This is a most sacred time for you; a time of renewal, a time for power.
Women of old did not suffer.
They would go to themselves and pray, heal, receive spiritual messages for guidance and give thanks for their womanness.”
